Jackie Chan Plans Rush Hour 4 and Karate Kid 2

Jackie Chan is planning to star in Rush Hour 4 and Karate Kid 2.
The 58-year-old actor recently announced his latest film, Chinese Zodiac, would be his last "big action movie," but he still intends to make a fourth edition of his and Chris Tucker's 1998 motion picture Rush Hour as well as a sequel of his rebooted version of Karate Kid with Jaden Smith.
"I will ask my body how long I can go. I'm not young anymore. In the future I'll still do Karate Kid 2, Rush Hour 4," he said.
But Jackie is keen to take a break from action movies before he goes back to the big screen to show off his martial arts skills in the next "five or ten years," and will think about retiring from acting completely after he stars in a fourth Rush Hour movie: "I don't want it to happen at this moment. Probably another five or ten years. Then will be Rush Hour 4 - boom, we're coming back! And at that time I might retire. Us being old guys might make it a more interesting story. But at this moment I don't think it's something I want to do."

Ryan Reynolds Eyed for Highlander

Ryan Reynolds is being targeted to appear in Highlander.
The Safe House actor is reportedly the frontrunner to take on the lead role in the forthcoming reboot, and though no formal offers have yet been made, sources tell Variety that both the actor and studio Lionsgate-Summit are "very interested" in working together on the project. However, the insiders add that Ryan is also weighing up other offers and could instead pursue other projects.
Plot details for the movie are not yet known, but the original series - which began with a 1986 movie and had several sequels and a TV show - followed an immortal swordsman through the centuries as he battled other immortal warriors.
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is to direct the movie with Neal Moritz and Peter Davis producing through Moritz's Original Film banner along with Enrique Lopez Lavigne and Belen Atienza.
Ryan's X-Men Origins: Wolverine character, Deadpool, is getting a spin-off movie, though it is not confirmed when work will begin on the project.
Kristen Stewart ‘Hates’ Girl Power Movies

Kristen Stewart "hates" girl power films. The 22-year-old actress enjoys portraying physically and mentally strong characters and she was excited to play Snow White in her latest movie Snow White and the Huntsman because her alter-ego has "gusto and kicks ass."
"I hate girl power movies, when the people you're rooting for are not girls. That's what I was attracted to. I've always wanted to find a role where I can challenge myself physically, I really like getting the opportunity to hurt myself for the job but what I loved was that Snow White is someone who has the gusto and kicks ass but she's not a dude. She remains, steady. I'm not built to be physically strong, you have to outsmart someone, you have to be physically and mentally quicker, you have to have a strong heart."
Kristen was keen to play Snow White to "push" herself, and she particularly enjoyed playing the character when she overcame fears within the storyline: "Nothing is that simple. Every time Snow White has to do something and not be crippled by fear I'm into that, one of the things I wanted to do was see how far I could push myself. The reason they hire these big huge burly dudes to work on these movies is because it's hard."

The Dictator also debuted this week, securing third place at the box office with $17.4 million. Dark Shadows dropped two spots to number 4 with $12.8 million while the new comedy What to Expect When You're Expecting debuted at number 5 with $10.5 million.

Scarlett Johansson: I’ve Finally ‘Made It’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celeb News,
Scarlett Johansson feels she has "made it" after receiving a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
The Avengers actress was recently recognized with a permanent tribute to her 20-year movie career and despite having a string of box office successes behind her, she admits it is only now she has been given the star that she feels successful.
"I was totally thrilled. I feel very nostalgic about that kind of thing. I think it's a wonderful tradition and I felt like I'd finally made it. I really did. I've been in the industry for 20 years and I've worked since I was kid, and it felt like a real milestone. Although I'm not sure where it is - I'm hoping outside one of those horrible shops on Hollywood Boulevard!"
Scarlett admits she has never wanted to be seen as a sex symbol, but is hopeful now she is getting older people will begin to think of her beyond her beauty: "I never wanted to be a sex symbol. I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I often mostly admire. But I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing. I never think of my characters that way. What can you do about it? As I get older, I think I'm seeing more multifaceted roles. I'm past the ingenue phase, which I'm very thankful for but I'm happy it's over."
Chloe Sevigny isn't "offended" she often gets asked to play masculine roles.
The Oscar-nominated actress has previously portrayed a butch-looking gay woman in If These Walls Could Talk 2 and can next be seen as a transgender hit-woman in Hit & Miss, but understands why she gets offered the roles because she has a manly face.
"I do feel like I have some masculine features. I've seen myself on screen and thought that I do look quite masculine. So I could see why they would think of me for this part. I wasn't offended."
Despite the unusual premise of the new British drama, Chloe does not believe it will be what they expected because it does not play up the transsexual aspect: "It's very lyrical, very poetic. It doesn't lean to camp in any way, shape or form. There's heightened realism here and there. But I think people are gonna be really surprised. They're gonna hear about this transsexual, transgender hit-woman ad they're gonna think it's one thing - and by the end of the first episode they'll realize this is not at all what they expected."
Josh Brolin Was Worried About MIB3

Josh Brolin worried he might "ruin" the whole Men In Black series by appearing in the third movie.
The 44-year-old actor plays Young Agent K in the film alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones - who reprised their roles in the sci-fi movie as Agent J and Agent K respectively - but he was concerned about how his co-stars might react to him joining the film franchise.
"I thought, 'Oh, yeah, this could be a career-killer. I could ruin an entire series, because I'm severing this great iconic duo, this great chemistry that people really enjoy.' If someone came to my franchise and said, 'Listen, you're still going to bookend it, but we're going to bring in this younger guy instead,' I can't imagine I wouldn't be like, 'Huh? What are you talking about?' I don't know if he felt like that. And if he did he'd never tell me."
Despite starring in a number of big blockbusters, Josh - who has been married to actress Diane Lane since 2004 - admits he no longer feels he has to "push" himself in life and doesn't mind taking the "boring" approach.

Jackie Chan is retiring from action movies.
The 58-year-old actor has confirmed that his latest film, Chinese Zodiac, will be his last as an action star as he thinks the world is becoming "too violent."
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, where he is launching his new movie, Chan told reporters, "This will be my last big action movie. The world is too violent now. I love fighting but I hate violence."
Chan also wants to show film fans he can act in all types of movies, not just action ones: "I want the audience to know I'm not just about fighting, also I can act. And so day by day, year by year, I said, 'Right, I'm going to show you the real Jackie Chan.' I don't just want to be an action star, I want to be a true actor so for the last 10 years I've done other films like The Karate Kid where I'd rather play an old man."
